SCHEME FOR BPL, SC, ST AND BACKWARD CLASS

Enrolment of BPL.SC,ST,Backward Class/Minority,Women,Disabled persons as members of all types of Co-operatives:

Budget Provision:             Rs.3200.00 lakhs
Pattern of assistance:      Subsidy

Objective of the Scheme:

      The scheme aims to expand the credit base to the weaker sections and minorities in the society by enrolling them as members of Co-operative Societies. An amount equal to the value of one share subject is sanctioned to the society to enrol such beneficiaries. This year Priyadarshini and Ashakiran schemes were merged with this scheme.

Estimated benefit :
      Economically weaker sections of the people belonging to BPL, SC, ST, BC, Minorities, women, physically disabled will be able to get the facilities made available by the respective co-operative societies which will uplift them socially/financially.
